The driver on 35th SW admitted he'd had one drink. This after he passed the patrol car at 51 miles per hour, weaved across lanes of traffic, and slammed into the curb so hard that he flattened his front tire. The arresting officer noticed that the man?s car also had rear-end damage. The driver told the officer that it was from an accident two weeks earlier in which he had hit a pole.
Early Friday two men in a dark blue van pulled alongside a woman in a car in the 3400 block of 39th SW and engaged her in suspicious conversation before saying, "I guess we?ll leave you alone for now." The suspects are Caucasian males, one stocky with reddish hair, thought to be in his 30s.

A Capitol Hill man called 911 to report a sexual assault in the restroom of a Junction restaurant. An officer was dispatched to speak with the victim, who said that he had been drunk and had been engaged in mutual "fondling" with the suspect. But as the officer tried to get additional pertinent information, the victim became agitated, called the officer a "pig," and screamed, "F&% off! Get out of my house!"
