Jousting on horseback, swashbuckling pirates and childhood favorites come to life at the Penumbra Fantasy Faire.
Peter Pan, Robin Hood, and a cast of fairies, elves, strolling musicians, and jugglers will entertain throughout the two-day event October 10th and 11th at the V2 Farm in Enumclaw.
The Pacific Northwest's premier sword fighting and jousting theatrical troupe, the Seattle Knights, will have three performances during the Faire with an ongoing story that will run all day throughout the event.
The entourage combines exceptional equestrian skills, high-energy acting, and choreographed stage combat using steel weapons to engage opponents in dramatic arena battle.
Held on approximately three acres of over 38 plus acres of the working V2 Farm, the Penumbra Fantasy Faire encourages children of all ages to experience a working blacksmith in a Western town, navigate a corn maze, go inside an authentic Native American teepee, and meet over fifty whimsical characters roaming the grounds.
“Penumbra is the line between the light and dark side of the moon,” said Dameon Willich, the Director of Penumbra Fantasy Faire. ”As I see it, it is also the line between the real and the surreal, where fantasy and history can meet and mingle.”
The Penumbra Fantasy Faire can be anything and everything – wherever our imagination takes us.
Seven music groups, a magician, the Guild of Glorianna, martial arts & fire demonstrations, and hands-on archery opportunities will be available.
The site will have three entertainment stages, a sixty-foot pirate ship, and indoor barn activities featuring games, plays, and interactive dialogue between actors and patrons.
Over two dozen vendors will feature goods and services including period costumes, custom swords by Tinker (Michael Pearce), leather, textiles, candles and gifts.
The Penumbra Fantasy Faire will be held at V2 Farm in Enumclaw, located at Highway 164 at 208th Avenue SE from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Admission is $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for kids 6 -15 years and free for children under 6 years. A special family rate of $25.00 is available for two adults and two kids.
