While the varsity baseball game rained at Whitman was cancelled due to rain, the Ballard ultimate frisbee teams dominated their opponents on the muddy frisbee fields.
The boys team took down Lakeside 12 to 6 and the girls beat Roosevelt 13 to 0.
The boys team was lead by junior Jake Lemmen with 4 goals and 3 assists. Senior Kenny Lane had 3 goals and 5 hand blocks. Senior Moses Goldfarb and sophomore Adam Choi chipped in 3 goals each.
"The ladies played awesome last night. We worked really hard on our man defense and really saw some improvements, and we exercised much more patience on the goal line," said coach Carmella Vizza.
"While our senior and more veteran players always bring their A game, I was most impressed by our newer players and underclassmen."
Mareya Welsh and Maddie Gilbert, both new to the team, made some great catches on offense to help the team keep possession of the disc.
Sophomore Juliette Birkner had a break out game with an aerial defensive block, and she scored the winning goal with a diving catch in the endzone.
Soccer:
Meanwhile the boys soccer team took on Woodinville at home on Friday night. It was a scoreless game until Woodenville's Austin James scored a goal in the 20th minute.
Ballard's Brent Campbell scored the equalizer in the 49th minute.
And then Ballard scored an own goal which put Woodinville ahead 2 to 1. In the 77th minute Woodinville Lucas Reller scored the defining goal, making it 3 to 1 for Woodinville. Ballard was unable to come back.

Boys:
On Friday, Ballard's boys lacrosse team suffered a heart breaking defeat in overtime in a matchup against Selah.
In his first game back after spraining a knee in the opening game of the season, Selah's Casey Jones scored on a blistering bounce shot with 2:13 remaining in overtime to steal the win away from Ballard.
Ballard was leading by one goal when Jones fired past Beavers’ goalkeeper Nick Onstad-Hawes to send the contest into sudden death.
In the overtime period, Selah’s David Ortega poke-checked the ball free from Ballard’s John DeGarmo at the top of the box and passed it to Jones. Jones took control of the ball and fired the game winner.

Girls:
Ballard's girls lacrosse team took Lakeside on Friday evening for another victory.
Ballard's Maddie Soukup put 5 goals in the net and Bryan and Mora added two goals each while, Barnes, Barta, Kennedy, and Hanson added another three goals for a 13 to 7 victory over Lakeside. .
Saturday
Three Rivers hosted the Ballard boys lacrosse team at Badger Mountain Park in Richland on Saturday for a matchup that was too strong for Ballard.
The Beavers lost 7 to 5.
With the win, Three Rivers earned its sixth win of the season, keeping pace with Eastern Division leading Wenatchee.
Ballard now has a record of two wins and four losses. The Beavers play again on Tuesday, April against Lakeside.
