McPhee returns to action
Brittany McPhee -- a Mount Rainier graduate -- is back in action for the Stanford University women's basketball team as a senior after sitting out with an injury.
McPhee has been back for the Cardinal's Pac-12 conference games and knocked in 21 points in a 72-65 victory over USC Dec. 31.
She hit 15 with three rebounds and three assists in a 71-45 victory over the University of Washington on Sunday after scoring 12 with five assists, three steals, one block and three rebounds in a 70-57 win over Washington State University two days earlier.
McPhee has played in nine games this season, averaging 17.1 points and 5.2 rebounds.
Jordan scoring for Falcons
Jordan McPhee, who is Brittany's twin sister and also a Mount Rainier graduate, has played in 15 games for Seattle Pacific University so far.
McPhee has averaged 15.1 points for the Falcons with 5.6 rebounds. She has a total of 17 blocks, 38 steals and 29 assists in her senior season.
McPhee hit 26 in a 74-63 victory over Simon Fraser on Saturday to lead the team in scoring for the eighth game this season.
Season ends for Senio, Saints
Evergreen graduate Senio Kelemete and the New Orleans Saints' playoff stay ended with a stunning last-second loss at Minnesota on Sunday.
Kelemete backs up at all five offensive line positions for the Saints and started at left guard against the Vikings.
Sawatzky leading the Stars
Thomas Jefferson graduate Darren Sawatzky is the head coach and general manager for the Tacoma Stars men's indoor professional soccer team.
McCluskey playing for Stars
Kennedy Catholic graduate Vince McCluskey is now a player for Sawatzky's Tacoma Stars squad.
Giomi averaging 6.3 minutes
West Seattle graduate Lydia Giomi is averaging 6.3 minutes over 12 games for the University of Oregon women's basketball team as a redshirt freshman.
Giomi has averaged 1.4 points and 2.0 rebounds and has two assists, three steals and four blocks.
