West Seattle advanced with Monday's win to battle Ballard for the Class 3A Metro League tournament championship at 4 p.m. Saturday at Steve Cox Memorial Park in White Center.
Both teams advance to state regional play the following Saturday.
Ballard 4, O'Dea 2
Ballard earned Saturday's championship date with the Wildcats by beating the Irish in Monday action.
Kennedy 6, Emerald Ridge 2
Kennedy Catholic pounced on the Panthers in a Tuesday home game to earn its way into a District 3/4 Class 4A semifinal against Puyallup at Kent Memorial Park with a 4 p.m. Saturday start.
Both teams advance to state regional action the next Saturday, but the winner gets to play a second game for the District 3/4 championship at 7 p.m. this Saturday.
Union 6, Mt. Rainier 3
Mount Rainier's stay in the same District 3/4 tournament ended with Tuesday loss in Vancouver.
Cedarcrest 9, Evergreen 4
Evergreen's season also ended with a Tuesday tournament loss only in 2A action.
Fastpitch softball
Ballard 7, Inglemoor 1
Ballard rides Wednesday's win into a 6 p.m. Friday District 2 Class 3A championship game against Roosevelt or Liberty at the Southwest Athletic Complex in White Center next to Chief Sealth High School.
Foster 23, Cleveland 10
Foster clobbered Cleveland in a District 2 Class 2А playoff Wednesday.
Next up for the Bulldogs is a 4 p.m. Thursday visit to Cedarcrest.
Garfield 17, West Seattle 1
The Wildcats' season ended with Wednesday's loss.
Ballard 13, West Seattle 9
Ballard outslugged West Seattle in Tuesday quarterfinal action.

The Wildcats slugged their way to a win Monday.

Foster fell in a loser-out Class 2A playoff played on the road Wednesday.

The Seahawks also suffered a season ending defeat on the road in 2A action Wednesday.

The Pirates were outgunned by the Patriots in a Tuesday 3A playoff to end their season.
