Seattle Police Chief Shon Barnes will be hosting a series of community safety forums across the city this summer as part of the Creating a Safer Seattle initiative. These meetings are designed to engage residents in conversations about public safety, share updates on the One Seattle Restoration Framework, and gather feedback from neighborhoods.
Barnes was just confirmed as Chief this week.
Here are the first two confirmed locations:
-
District 2: Rainier Community Center Thursday, July 10 6:00–7:30 PM
-
District 4: Magnuson Community Center Monday, July 15 6:00–7:30 PM
No District 1 meeting location or date have yet been announced but are expected soon.
There will be seven forums total, one in each council district, with more dates and venues to be announced soon. Seating is limited, so RSVPs are encouraged through the city’s registration portal
