West Seattle and Pacwest both bowed out of their respective state all-star Little League baseball tournaments with losses Wednesday.
The West Seattle age 8-10 team saw its season end with a close 5-3 loss to Capitol at its own Bar-S complex, while the Pacwest age 9-11 squad fell to Pullman, 10-0, at Salnave Park in Cheney.
Pacwest was edged by the same Pullman team, 3-2, in its opener last Saturday, but bounced back to beat West Plains by an 11-1 score Monday.
Pacwest posted a 6-3 victory over Ridgefield Tuesday.
West Seattle, meanwhile, opened with a 4-1 loss to Bellevue National this past Sunday before edging the combined Liberty Lake and Spokane Valley squad, 3-2, in Monday action.
North Kitsap was the next victim by a 13-10 score Tuesday.
The District 7 age 8-10 softball all-star team advanced to the state championship game last Thursday before taking a 2-1 loss to District 1.
