Seattle police detectives are investigating a shooting in the South Park neighborhood last night.
On Aug. 11, at about 9:40 p.m., patrol officers responded to reports of a fight disturbance inside Tasty's bar and grill in the 8600 block of 14th Avenue South. As police arrived, SPD dispatch upgraded the call to a shooting. Officers found a man in the back parking lot, believed to be in his 30s, with multiple gunshot wounds. According to scanner calls he was shot in each leg and had two more shots in his torso.
The Seattle Fire Department (SFD) arrived and provided medical treatment to the victim. SFD transported him to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
The suspect(s) fled the scene, before police arrived and officers did not make any arrests.
Detectives in the Gun Violence Reduction Unit responded to process the scene. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation.
