No, the raccoons did not steal my Lil’ Red.

After I got it all fixed up with a new radiator, etc, I decided it was time to sell it. I mentioned it to Cameron at C&P and she connected me with this wonderful family who needed a pickup for their teenage boys.

I was so tickled, and the boys, looking offhand boy cool, were thrilled as well. (I raised a son and I knew the signs)

A week later, I received this gift from my friend, Kathy Taylor. My pickup has returned! Albeit at a different scale. Thank you Kathy! It warmed the cockles of my heart, it did.
Now I am learning bus and Uber, which factoring in the cost of insurance, maintenance, gas, and registration/licensing, turns out to be MUCH cheaper. I have to walk a lot more and wait a lot more, but to paraphrase Milton, "They also serve who only stand and wait”. I’ve barreled through life enough…this is my time to catch my breath and reflect.

Which brings me to my traditional Xmas image and wish for my friends. I no longer work late at night in my studio as when my neighbor Connie across the alley took this photo, but the message remains the same.
“Let your little light shine. And Merry Christmas”
