Kennedy Catholic splashed to top five finishes in two relays at the state Class 4A boys swimming and diving meet held this past weekend at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
The Lancers took third place in the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 3 minutes, 10.71 seconds and fifth in the 200 medley relay in 1:36.32.
They were 21st in the 200 free relay in 1:35.77.
Tai Manning took fifth in the 200 free individual race in 1:44.68 and seventh in the 100 butterfly in 51.57 with Jack Davis fifth in the 100 backstroke in 52.42 and sixth in the 100 fly in 51.02.
Ian Frenchowicz of the Lancers finished 15th in the 100 breaststroke in 1:01.62.
Mount Rainier's Will Ma snagged seventh in the 100 breast in 59.21 and 11th in the 100 fly in 52.20.
3A state meet
Tom Wrecholt of West Seattle finished fourth in the 200 free in 1:42.18 and fourth in the 500 free in 4:39.10 in the state Class 3A action.
West Seattle also managed to take sixth in the 400 free relay in 3:18.62, 10th in the 200 free relay in 1:3 and 11th in the 200 medley relay in 1:42.91.
Mason Duffy of the Wildcats was 12th in the 100 back in 54.01 and Highline's Anthyme Nguyen 12th in the 100 breast in 1:00.50 and 16th in the 200 IM in 2:03.55.
2A state meet
Evergreen came in 19th in the 200 medley relay in 1:59.75 at this past weekend's 2A state competition with Chief Sealth finishing 24th in the 400 free relay in 4:16.13.
Theo Franzen of Chief Sealth took 20th in the 200 free in 2:04.13 with Evergreen's Julius Vergara 23rd in 2:13.96.
Vergara also took 25th in the 100 free in 57.38.
Evergreen's Kenvin Lai was 22nd in the 100 back in 1:05.82.
