The Lancers launched out into their spring season by posting a narrow victory Thursday in a match on the road.

Bellevue 9, Mt. Rainier 4

Mount Rainier opened its baseball season on a losing note in road action Thursday, then had its home rematch scheduled for Friday snowed out.

Also snowed out was Kennedy Catholic's trip to Spokane to play Gonzaga Prep.

Falling victim to Friday's snowfall in softball were Kennedy Catholic's trip to Thomas Jefferson and Mount Rainier's visit to Liberty.

Highline's Friday visit to Auburn and Mount Rainier's visit to Issaquah scheduled for Saturday in boys soccer were canceled as well.

Scheduled Saturday baseball games lost to leftover snow were Evergreen at Mount Rainier, Highline at Mount Rainier and Kennedy Catholic at Eastlake.
