It was a week of dominant performances and lopsided victories across westside High School athletics.
In baseball, Kennedy Catholic asserted their authority by twice defeating the Auburn Trojans, while West Seattle remained perfect through the week with three wins, including a shutout of Cleveland. A rare high-scoring tie also occurred on the diamond between Evergreen and Rainier Beach.
The fastpitch softball diamonds saw even more explosive offensive displays. West Seattle waltzed to a massive 32-0 victory over Cleveland, while Chief Sealth and Ballard also secured blowout wins, scoring 28 and 23 runs respectively in their dominant outings.
On the soccer pitch, West Seattle claimed bragging rights by winning the "Huling Bowl" against Chief Sealth. Kennedy Catholic and Mt. Rainier both recorded shutouts on Friday, while Highline managed to edge out narrow victories against both Auburn and Renton.
