Ginevra Saloy of Seattle Christian snagged second place in the girls Class IA state golf tournament and Lucas Williams of Ballard took third in the Class 3A boys early this week.
Williams stood out with his score among tough competition, shooting an impressive 67 the first day and also finishing under par with a 71 the second for a total of 38.
Saloy shot a 73 and a 76 for a two-day total of 149 in her tournament.
Joining Williams in the 3A boys tournament was Davis Thompson of West Seattle, who missed making it past the first day cut with a round of 79.
Saloy was joined by Warriors teammates Brooklyn and Addison Partridge, who turned in rounds of 109 and 110, respectively, to miss their first day cut as well.
Winston Aso of Seattle Christian took 11th place in the 1A boys tournament with rounds of 77 and 74 for a total of 151 and teammate Amari Lawrence finished 30th with rounds of 92 and 93 for a total 175,
Mount Rainier's Dixon Fain finished 48th among the Class 4A boys competitors with an 81 and an 82 for a total of 163.
Missing the first day cut for the Rams were Colton Dades with an 83, Peter Lloyd with a 90, Mason Bergman with a 97 and Tyler Knox with a round of 100.
Two Chief Sealth golfers missed the Class 2A boys first day cut in Nevin Pivar with an 89 and Joshua Faust with a 100.
