"Days after a violent attack at a West Seattle encampment, two unfamiliar individuals showed up about a week before the attack and carried out a brutal assault inside a tent. Victims were ambushed, stunned by a fire extinguisher, and beaten with a crowbar in the greenspace off 35th Avenue Southwest. Multiple incidents of escalating violence have been reported in the area, including a fatality in November 2025."

The charges stem from the abduction of a 58-year-old Burien woman from her apartment in January 2025. The suspects allegedly robbed her of jewelry and credit cards, tortured her with a power drill to obtain PINs, then drove her to Kittitas County, shot her, and left her for dead. The victim survived and provided details to investigators. Both suspects have alleged ties to the Tren de Aragua gang."
