The upcoming sports calendar features a packed slate of both professional and high school events, highlighted by major matchups across several sports.

At the professional level, Lumen Field will be a hub of activity, notably hosting a highly anticipated NFL Superbowl re- match where the Seattle Seahawks face New England on Wednesday, September 9, at 5:15 p.m. 

Soccer fans can also look forward to high-profile professional matches at Lumen Field, with the Seattle Sounders hosting New York on Saturday, September 5, and the Seattle Reign taking on San Diego on Sunday, September 6. Meanwhile, baseball dominates the calendar at T-Mobile Park as the Seattle Mariners host a continuous homestand, featuring a four-game series against the Oakland A's from September 3 to September 6, followed immediately by a two-game series against the Texas Rangers on September 8 and 9.

In high school athletics, the football season gets underway with several intriguing matchups, none larger than a powerhouse clash between Bellevue and Kennedy Catholic on Saturday, September 5, at 1 p.m. 

Another highly notable gridiron contest features Eastside Catholic at West Seattle on Friday, September 4, at 7 p.m. 

High school girls' soccer also presents some standout fixtures, particularly on Tuesday, September 8, when Kennedy Catholic travels to Eastside Catholic for a 6 p.m. kickoff. Girls' volleyball action is similarly busy on September 8, with a slate of competitive matches that includes Lakeside at West Seattle and Cedarcrest at Tyee.
