Distributed through the Uplift White Center Community Fund alongside the Elevate Skyway Community Fund, this grant funding supports projects that directly benefit residents in White Center/North Highline and Skyway/West Hill. The initiative relies on a participatory budgeting model designed to center racial equity, transparency, trust, and lived experience. A Community Advisory Board shaped the 2026 grantmaking priorities, and local community members will review and score all eligible proposals.

To help local groups navigate the application process, King County is hosting several information and technical support sessions. Residents can attend the Uplift White Center Community Fund Information Session on September 15 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the White Center Library (1409 SW 107th St., Seattle).

A virtual technical assistance session for proposal writing will follow on September 21 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Zoom (Meeting ID: 863 0765 0352), with language interpretation available upon pre-registration by September 16. An additional in-person proposal writing and one-on-one support session will take place on September 23 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Skyway Resource Center (12610 76th Ave. S., Seattle).

All eligible community groups and organizations must submit their completed RFP applications no later than Sunday, October 11 at 11:59 p.m..
