In the wake of a recent shooting death on Alki and other recent violence Seattle City Council member for District 1 Rob Saka is hosting a "community conversation" on public safety at Alki United Church of Christ starting at 6 PM. June 26.

The businesses near Delridge Way SW set to be displaced by the light rail expansion are seeking support for funding to permit them to successfully relocate.

A shooting near the viewpoint at the corner where Harbor Ave SW changes to Alki Ave SW in the early morning hours of Saturday June 22, left one man dead and another injured.

The shooting occured around 3:45am
