The parents of murder victims Jessica Lewis and Austin Wenner learned that the site of a simple memorial they had established last summer had been destroyed just prior to Thanksgiving.

Aside from a few homes still in the dark the power outage that hit West Seattle plus the cable outage has been resolved.

District 1 Seattle City Councilmember Lisa Herbold shared an update on the repair and maintenance schedule now in place regarding the West Seattle Bridge.

The National Weather Service is predicting high winds for our area on Friday.

The First Annual Heron's Nest Holiday Market is set for  Saturday December 11th 10am-6pm. There's a $1 entry fee to support musicians and The Heron's Nest Project.

Each year Nucor employees rally together to collect food and funds for the West Seattle Food bank's biggest food drive of the year.

This year they generously donated $20,237 and over 4,300 pounds of food.

The White Center community proved once again how resilient they are by lighting their community Christmas tree at the Triangle on Delridge Way SW and Roxbury Street on Sunday night.

It rained almost all day, then as if by magic, though it was cold at 39 degrees, the holiday spirit was strong with several hundred West Seattleites and the rain just stopped.
