As the popularity of paddlesports grows and rates of accidents increase, Washington State Parks’ Boating Program and boating enforcement agencies are partnering to lead a statewide awareness campaign to promote safe paddling practices.

Update 11am Wednesday

A fire destroyed a two story home in the 8600 block of Fauntlee Crest SW early Tuesday morning. The blaze broke out shortly before 2 am and crews responded to the home in an area of twisting turning roads in Fauntlee HIlls.

On Saturday July 21 gather family and friends and have fun flying kites in the afternoon breezes in the Seattle Chinese Garden’s big field. Bring your own kite or buy one at the event.
