Lorraine (Olson) ODGERS 1927-2013

Lorraine Odgers went to be with the Lord April 26, 2013, just 8 days after her 86th birthday. Born to George and Emma Olson April 18, 1927, she was a lifelong West Seattleite. She graduated from Cleveland High School. Lorraine married George Odgers Jr. January 14, 1955, and together they raised their family in West Seattle.

Lorraine was a very gifted craft artist and a magnificent cook. She was a consummate homemaker, making her family her life’s work. Her wonderful sense of humor and the twinkle always in her eye gained her many friends. She loved people and people loved her back. Always upbeat, Lorraine was a class act to the end. What a blessing she was to friends and family. She will be dearly missed.

Predeceased by her parents, her siblings, and her son, Lawrence D. Odgers, Lorraine is survived by her husband of 58 years, George Odgers Jr., and her daughter and “best bud,” Lynnette D. Odgers.

Contributions in Lorraine’s name may be made to Highline Hospice of the Alzheimer’s Society.

Arrangements by Howden-Kennedy Funeral Home, West Seattle. See online guestbook at www.Howden-Kennedy.com for memorial celebration.
