Born in West Seattle November 16, 1933, the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Welton, Carol, 79, died June 13, 2013.
She retired from Swedish Medical Center where she worked for many years. Carol enjoyed bowling, traveling, friends, family and getting together with the Red Hatters, but most of all, she loved to dance!
Carol was always thinking of others before herself. In her last few years of life, she would never dwell on her pain, but constantly went above and beyond for her friends and family, always making sure everyone else was taken care of.
Everyone who had the honor of knowing Carol, loved her! Though we will miss her exuberant energy and love of life, we can take comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain and is now center stage on the dance floor in Heaven!
Predeceased by her children, Lynn and Daniel "Smiley" Boettger, Carol is survived by her daughter, Lisa Hegle; grandson, John Hegle; granddaughter, Cheri (Raymond) Overgaard; and 2 beautiful great-grandbabies, Olivia and Kylie Overgaard.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, June 28th, 2 - 4 p.m., at the White Center Eagles, 10452 15th Ave. SW, Seattle, WA.
Memorials may be made to the Cancer Research Organization of your choice or to the American Diabetes Association.
