Richard J. “Dick” KORD 1926-2013

Born in Tacoma, WA in 1926, Dick passed away December 14, 2013. A lifelong West Seattle resident, he attended Holy Rosary School, O’Dea High, and graduated from Seattle University prior to his enjoyable 42-year career with Sears.

Dick was unconditionally committed to his wife, children, family, friends, job and his faith through out his entire life. He so enjoyed boating, working on his home, helping others and was an active member of Holy Rosary Church. He will be greatly missed by so many who knew him.

He is survived by wife of 64 years, “Dottie,” also a West Seattle native; 4 children, Colleen Watson (Allan), Dan (Colleen), Sandra, and Sue Chambers (Greg); 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and brother, Eugene “Gene” (Virginia).
