Clifford Daniel “Dan” TRUMAN 1921-2013

Beloved husband and father, Clifford “Dan” Truman passed away December 21, 2013.

Born May 24, 1921 in Dillon, Montana to Oswald Marvin and Clara (Eudaly) Truman, Dan lived his younger years in The Dalles, Oregon and Yakima, Washington where he was a 1940 graduate of Yakima Senior High School. He excelled in sports and was the State High Jump Champion that year. He attended Whitman College and the University of Washington before enlisting in 1942 in the US Navy, attending flight school, and then the US Coast Guard.

After the war, Dan married Louise “Mickey” Lagozzino, his wife of 62 years. He had a very successful career as an automobile salesman at SL Savidge, Huling Brothers, and Budget, retiring after 44 years. Dan loved sports, and was an avid golfer. He and Mickey traveled the world extensively in their retirement years, and enjoyed many rounds of golf.

Predeceased by his wife Mickey, Dan is survived by his son Daniel (Suzi Fossos) and grandchildren Terra M. and Danica M. Truman, and son David (Elizabeth), grandchildren, Patricia and Corin McDonald (Adrianne Moore), and three great-grandchildren, Xahil McDonald, Maggie Moore and Oscar McDonald-Moore.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014, 11 a.m., at Salty’s on Alki, 1936 Harbor Avenue SW, Seattle, WA 98126. In lieu of donations, a prayer or good deed in Dan’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
