Catherine “Kay” Mary (Krisewich) WEIDUM 1922-2014

Mar. 7, 1922 ~ Nov. 5, 2014
Catherine Weidum, 92, of West Seattle, passed away peacefully in Bend, OR with her family by her side. She was one of the most genuinely kind and loving persons who has walked this earth and she will be greatly missed.
Kay was born in Seattle, WA, the daughter of John and Lucia Krisewich. She was proud of her Polish heritage, often reciting phrases of solidarity taught to her by her mother.

She graduated from Cleveland High School and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington. She worked in Seattle as a legal secretary for over 30 years. Kay was passionate about creative writing and had many poems and stories published over the years. She loved to quilt, read and travel with George and her many friends.

Kay is survived by her husband of 70 years, George Weidum; two children, Terry of Puyallup, WA and Janice Vetter (Ken Yopp) of Bend, Oregon; and granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Suzanna.
A celebration of life was held at Acacia Memorial Park in Seattle. Donations in her memory can be made to those agencies in Seattle serving the homeless.
