Ron’s arrival in 1936 interrupted Christmas Dinner in Pasadena, CA. Ron was senior class president at Eagle Rock High School. He attended Occidental College and USC, where “Brownie” became a life-long Fiji and a life-long partner to Ann Gibson.
After several retail positions, Ron retired as Vice-President for the Northwest Region of Federated Department Stores. In 1988 Ron and Ann opened Metropolis III, a Ballard clothing store, where they worked side-by-side for twenty years. They retired in 2008, travellng often to Mexico and Europe. Ron valued college friends, travel acquaintances, movies, and cooking.
Ron died June 18, 2014. No memorial service at his request. Survived by Ann Gibson Brown, wife of 51 years, and son Charles Curtiss Brown and wife Amy of Everett, WA.
