Robert “Bob” Norwood SNYDER 1924 ~ 2014

Robert Snyder passed away June 11, 2014.
Bob served in the US Navy during WWII. Afterward, he received his law degree from the University of Washington School of Law before being called back to active duty during the Korean War. Bob practiced law in West Seattle for 35 years and was active in the West Seattle Kiwanis and the Chamber of Commerce, serving as President in both. He enjoyed camping in his motor home and traveling the world.
Bob’s friends and family drew strength and were inspired by his honesty, sense of fair play and respect for others.
Predeceased by his son, Kenton Snyder, Bob is survived by the love of his life and wife of 68 years, Lois, and his children, Linda Layman, Jennifer Ritchie and Kim Snyder; seven grandchildren, Jana, Adam, Megan, Melinda, Robert, Aubrey and Rebecca; and four great-grandchildren.
A service celebrating the life of Robert will be held Thursday, June 19th, 1 p.m., at Tibbetts United Methodist Church, 3940 41st Ave. SW.
