Maxine “Dolly” (Davis) HASS 1922-2014

On March 23, 2014, Dolly Hass ‘danced’ her way to the gates of heaven to join her beloved husband of 53 years, Donald, who was playing “Hello Dolly” on his trombone! Born March 26, 1922 to Bride and James Davis, the youngest of their eight children, she remained “Dolly”to her family and West Seattle community for 91 years. She attended Holy Rosary School and was in the first class to graduate from the High School in 1940.

She served as a Paralegal for 42 years in West Seattle and was very active in her community, Holy Rosary Church and School activities, and the Archdiocese CYO.

Dolly will be missed by her surviving family: daughter, Dr. Donna Swagers (Peter); grandson, Chad Hudson (Laura); great-grandsons, Austin and Ryan Hudson; and several nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Life Mass was held March 31st at Holy Rosary Church. Remembrances may be made in Dolly’s honor to West Seattle Fire Department Medic One Unit, Holy Rosary School or Mount Saint Vincent Retirement Center.
