Dorothy May (Fear) JOHNSON 1914-2015

Our hearts are saddened as we have to say goodbye to our dear, sweet Auntie Dot. She peacefully went home to be with her parents, sister, friends and beloved husband, Andy, Saturday, August 22, 2015. She lived a full 101 years. Wow! Born in Toppenish, WA, she “belonged” to West Seattle where she lived for over 65 years in the same charming, little house on Beach Drive.

She knew West Seattle like the back of her hand, upside down and inside out. Everyone loved Auntie Dot. She was adventurous, a real lady, had a permanent twinkle in her eye, and was friendly, warm and loving.
Our hearts are full when we think of our time and many memories with her. Christmas time at her house was magical. Every nook and cranny was decorated, each and every one! She was passionate about her garden and it showed. Brilliant colors and beautiful flowers were everywhere. She had a green thumb and she used it. Collecting antiques? My, my! Her home was filled with them. Adventurous? We think so! Parasailing in her 70s! Enough said.

It has been said that, “When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.” Auntie Dot is most certainly a treasure. She was a blessing in our lives (everybody’s really) and will always have a special place in our hearts, missed by many, forever loved and never forgotten.
Dorothy May was laid to rest at Washington Memorial Park, SeaTac, WA.
