Dorothy “Dot,” 90, passed away suddenly June 30, 2015. She was born March 13, 1925, in Fort Worth, Texas to John R. and Ione Scott. She graduated from the University of Washington in 1949 with a degree in Economics and Business.

Predeceased by her husband, Emmett, in 1992, and her daughter, Cathy, in 2014, Dot is survived by her sons, Scott Coon and David Coon (Gail Jensen); daughter, Lisa Rogers (Paul); six grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Porel.

A celebration of Dot’s life will be held at First United Methodist Church of Seattle (180 Denny Way, Seattle, WA 98109) on Sunday, August 2, 2015 with a reception at 11:30 a.m., followed by a service at Noon. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of her life may be made to First United Methodist Church of Seattle.
