David Rockwell WOOD 1938~2015

8/30/38 ~ 6/10/15
Born in Anaconda, Montana August 30, 1938, Dave passed away in the University of Washington Medical Center June 10, 2015 after his second bout with cancer.

Dave grew up in West Seattle and spent most of his life there. He attended Lafayette Grade School, James Madison Junior High and graduated from West Seattle High School in 1957.
He enjoyed riding his Harley, skiing in Sun Valley, helping his sons with their home projects, and keeping in touch with his high school friends. Dave was a salesman, carpenter and jack of all trades. He really never retired as he enjoyed keeping busy. He loved to have a good time and made an impressive connection with many people he met. He will be greatly missed as he was taken much too soon!

Predeceased by his parents, Alice and Oscar Wood of West Seattle, Dave is survived by his life partner of 29 years, Kathleen Forester; sons, David Wood Jr. (Wendy) of Cle Elum and Christopher Wood of Seattle; four grandchildren, Gavin Keefe of Yakima, Dallas Keefe of Seattle and Megan and Campbell Wood of Seattle; sister, Melanie Berg of Kent; extended family members; and many friends.
