Robert O. Cooper, the undersigned Notice Agent, has elected to give notice to creditors of the Decedent. As of the date of filing a copy of this notice with the Clerk of this Court, the Notice Agent has no knowledge of the appointment and qualification of a personal representative in the Decedent's estate in the State of Washington or of any other person becoming a Notice Agent.

Taggers have been painting graffiti at the north end of the Ballard Bridge in recent weeks and Charlie Ballenger has been chasing them away.

Ballenger has lived in a yellow school bus under the bridge for the last two years with the consent of businesses directly west and east of him. Ballenger is a caretaker for the property around him and said he is tired of waking up at night and hearing the sound of spray paint cans rattling, even if he does use the stuff to earn his living. After a knee injury ended a career as a cabbie, Ballenger became an airbrush artist.

It may be several months before a decision is made about the construction of a controversial discount gas station in Crown Hill.

A grassroots vision to convert a 100-foot wide, one-mile section of 14th Avenue Northwest that runs from the ship canal to Ballard High School could turn a dusty, rutted road into a manicured one, with plenty of greenspace.

Once upon a time, not so long ago, my husband and I got around on bicycles and buses. Six months with a baby in tow convinced us to buy a car. Somehow it only took four months with baby #2 to bring vehicle #2 into the family (friends smile smugly when I say 'vehicle' - it's a, um, minivan). The Reign '93 Purple soccer team went to Lake Oswego, Oregon July 21 and came back to Federal Way with the Nike Cup Championship trophy.

To reach the finals, the Federal Way girls had to defeat the defending Oregon State champions in the semi-finals, a 2-1 thriller.

In the championship match against Placer United, Reign took an early one-goal lead, but the Californians came back to tie the score early in the second half.

The Reign girls settled the matter with five minutes remaining, scoring off a corner kick.

Goalkeeper Megan Stumpf tallied 12 saves

My brother had a reel to reel tape player back in 1970 along with a collection of tapes, including artists like Cream, The Beatles, Blood, Sweat and Tears, and most indelibly for me, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

We would sit in his bedroom and marvel at and dissect the songs, lucky to be alive at the cusp of the new, very good technology of the recording industry.

Killings, 8, stopped by the library on her last day of summer school last week at Mark Twain Elementary to tell Anne Elders, the school's librarian, that she recently finished Call of the Wild by Jack London.

Elders is intimately familiar with Sasha Killings' reading history, ability and preferences.
