Letter to the Editor: A Natural Born Opinion

The Media reports Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) cannot be a U.S. President because he is not a natural born citizen.

I am compelled to think Senator Ted is cruzing along under the radar of the law and he is running a Presidential Campaign by “proxy.”

A red flag blowing to the right may test a fragile “goose egg,” giving birth to possible demand, to address Constitutional Law.

However, if the U.S. Supreme Court Justices have, or will, consture a language to amend origin of birthright on this issue, giving relief to Senator Ted Cruz. This may strike a nerve of concern over future implications, real or imagined, about U.S. National Security.

Although from an objective pont of view – like the rest of us, Senator Ted Cruz is subjected to a “collusion” created by the Stewards of our Constitution.

SUV smashes White Center's new Noble Barton

Since the Noble Barton's opening in September of last year, the new White Center bar and eatery has quickly gained popularity and become a favorite according to unincorporated King County locals. But just four months after opening, the storefront received an unwanted makeover when an SUV suddenly smashed into their entryway before fleeing the scene. The wreck took place just after 2 a.m. last Thursday morning. According to Sergeant Cindi West of the King County Sheriff’s Department, officers arrived to the scene at 2:15 a.m. to find the front door and entryway of the Noble Barton smashed in. Witnesses told police that a green Ford SUV had hit the building before fleeing towards downtown White Center. Less than 10 minutes later, officers were contacted by emergency responders from Seattle Fire who said they were with a woman who claimed to be part of the incident. The woman told them that she had been driving the SUV and returned home after the accident. She then called 911 upon arriving to her house because of head injuries she had received upon impact. The 57-year-old West Seattle woman was charged with DUI and was taken to Highline Medical Center in Burien for treatment.

HHS Graduate featured in January #HighlineAlum Campaign

UW engineering student Jayden Sadettan credits teachers for success after high school
A current standout engineering student at University of Washington (UW) is featured in this month’s #HighlineAlum social media campaign. Jayden Sadettan, a 2015 Highline High School (HHS) graduate, credits several teachers for his success after high school.

Jayden is currently pursuing a degree in computer science. He is also a member of UW’s STARS program, an engineering program that directly admits students into the engineering department of their choice upon completing of their first year coursework.

“To me, what makes the Highline community special is just the amount of diversity it contains. Also, the time and commitment the teachers put into their students. To be honest, without some teachers, I wouldn’t even be in college right now,” said Jayden
