The Seattle Folklore Society presents a master of traditional Irish fiddle, Frankie Gavin, for an evening of fiery jigs, reels, and stories, in concert on Sunday, February 3rd, 7pm at the Phinney Neighborhood Center. Frankie has been playing music since handed a whistle at age four, and has played for four presidents; is a founding member of legendary Irish band De Danann: has performed and recorded with other well-known Irish musicians and more, such as Yehudi Menuhin, the Rolling Stones, and Elvis Costello; is in the Guinness Book of World Records as world's fastest fiddler in 2010; was made Irish Cultural Ambassador to Italy in 2013; won the prestigious Gradam Ceoil's 2018 Musician of the Year, and recently played for the Pope!
