Intoxicated man with outstanding warrant
Officers were dispatched to the intersection of S. 176 St and 32 Ave S around 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 9. An intoxicated man was stumbling in the street and drinking a beer. A check on the man’s name revealed that he had an outstanding warrant.
Assault in parking lot
The suspect used a car to obstruct traffic in the 9600 block of 15 Ave SW, then recklessly and intentionally sped the car toward the victim. The victim reported feeling afraid of being physically hurt to police, when making a statement around 7:40 p.m. on Friday, March 9.
Attempted auto theft at hospital parking garage
A man broke into a woman’s car around 1:45 p.m. on Sunday, March 11. She was parked at Highline Hospital, 16251 Sylvester Rd. He broke her ignition and steering column, while trying to steal the vehicle. He also stole a pair of sunglasses and the vehicle handbook. He used a fire extinguisher to break a window to gain access to the car.
Armed robbery
A woman was walking home eastbound in the 200 block of S 152 St, when a man jumped out of a car and robbed her at gunpoint. She reported the crime at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 12.
Man assaulted after sleeping in car that was not his
A man went into an unlocked car that did not belong to him to sleep. The car owners grabbed him out of the car, punched him in the face over and over again and then took his wallet and cell phone. The crime was reported around 12:30 a.m. on Monday, March 12 in the 9600 block of 13 Ave SW.
Assault at grocery store
A woman was shopping at a grocery located in the 100 block of SW 148th St. around 9:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 15. She was in the self-checkout register line and noticed a man who kept cutting ahead of others. When she confronted the man, the two began arguing. He then punched her in the face.
Robbery and carjacking
A man was in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant in the 100 block of SW 148 St around 12:40 a.m. on Friday, March 16, when a suspect got into his car, saying he had a gun. The suspect ordered him to drive to another location, where he took the victim’s wallet and cell phone. Then, the suspect drove away with the victim’s car.
