Two arrests made in Burien vandalism case
Burien Police detectives arrest two suspects for a vandalism incident involving apparent gang graffiti
Detectives caught two suspects in the act of tagging at Chelsea Park in Burien this morning about 11 a.m. One suspect is 19 years old, the other is 17 and was in possession of a handgun. The 17-year-old has other firearms-related charges pending. Both suspects were arrested and booked into jail.
Based on the style and language of the graffiti investigators believe these two are responsible for the majority of the tagging that has occurred in the area of SW 136th Street and Ambaum recently. There was a significant increase in activity over the past week including five separate incidents reported over the weekend, resulting in thousands of dollars in property damage.
