Wearing the same clothing and backpack used during the stabbing, the suspect in the Transit stabbing September 30 was apprehended by police early Thursday. This video shows the original on-board video used to identify the suspect.

The suspect wanted in association with a stabbing that took place in Federal Way was located and arrested early Thursday morning at the Federal Way Transit Center by two King County Metro Transit Police Deputies.
According the police report, the suspect was observed wearing the same clothing and carrying the same backpack, as depicted in the Camera Coach video with this story.
The department emphasized the important role the on-board Camera Coach video systems played in helping them apprehend the suspect.
Officers discovered a concealed knife was found on the suspect, although it is not known if this was the weapon used in the stabbing.
The suspect, a 19 year old male with no current address, was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of Assault 1st degree.
When he was contacted by the King County Metro Transit Deputies, he was not cooperative.
The suspect has a criminal history which includes assaultive behavior, in addition to a list of active warrants for his arrest.
The Federal Way police department issued a statement of thanks to the media for their assistance in spreading information about the incident.

On September 30 at 4:49 a.m., in Federal Way, two subjects boarded the 174 Metro bus at the Federal Way Transit Center.
Shortly after boarding the bus these two subjects became involved in a physical altercation. The altercation and images of the suspect were captured by the on-board cameras installed by King County Metro Transit. The cameras are installed to protect the passengers and driver of the metro buses and to deter criminal activity.
The Metro Bus driver attempted to stop the fight and then summoned assistance.
The two subjects stopped fighting and exited the bus. Shortly after the subjects exited the bus the male suspect, shown in the attached photos, attacked and stabbed the other person he had been fighting with.
The suspect was able to flee the area prior to Federal Way Police officers arriving. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries and is expected to recover.
The Federal Way Police are asking for help in identifying the male suspect depicted in these photographs.
