On 40th Southwest, two women reported that a “completely nude man” was standing in front of a window and masturbating. Officers paid the fellow a visit, and he “hesitantly” denied the allegations. Investigators will be following up.
A man with a history of domestic violence was released from jail with the stipulation (a no-contact order) that he not go to his girlfriend's Highland Park residence. But citizens who knew of his release were helping to keep an eye on the girlfriend's home and noticed activity that seemed suspicious. Officers called to the scene made several requests for any people inside the house to come out. Then the homeowner told officers to kick in the door. The suspect was found hiding in the basement and was booked back into King County Jail for violating the no-contact order. The victim was not home at the time of the incident.
Mom came home drunk and angry after a dispute with her boyfriend and took it out on her daughter. When her 17-year-old son came to his sister's defense, mom bit him. Officers arrived and found mom intoxicated and uncooperative. She repeatedly yelled and swore as they booked her into King County Jail for investigation of domestic violence assault.
An officer stopped to chat with two people who were asleep in a bus shelter at 14th and Cloverdale. One. a 37-year-old woman, was wanted on a $5,000 warrant for prostitution and was booked into King County Jail.
Early Tuesday, a driver crashed into a light pole at 42nd and Hanford and drove off. Witnesses saw him park in the neighborhood and “stumble” into a home. Officers arrived and noted that the keys were still in the car (which had obvious front end damage and emitted a strong odor of burnt marijuana). The suspect answered the door, had watery, blurry eyes, and couldn't keep his balance while talking with officers. He denied driving anywhere and refused to take a breathalyzer test. A computer check showed that he was driving with a suspended license and had a failure-to-appear warrant. He was booked into King County Jail for the warrant and for investigation of DUI, hit and run property damage, driving with a suspended license, and negligent driving in the first degree.
In the 8100 block of 10th Southwest, a citizen called 911 to report a burglary in progress in a nearby home. Officers were told the suspects fled in a “boxy” red van. Two suspects—a man and a woman, both carrying knives—were found and positively identified by the witness. The van contained numerous tools typically used in break-ins. The man was carrying 1.5 grams of meth. Both are currently under supervision by the Department of Corrections, and both were booked into King County Jails.
