Roland Orace Barnes, born 12/27/1924 in Culver, OR, died 10/3/2012 in Lacey, WA.

Preceded in death by son David (1973) and wife Margaret (1998), he is survived by his wife Mary Ann of Olympia, WA, daughter Judith of Olympia, the Janet & Wendell Jones family of Albuquerque, NM, and the Christy & Bruce Graham family of Pasadena, CA, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Roland was a graduate of Bend (OR) High School and Oregon State College (B.S. electrical engineering). He served in the U. S. Navy.

He retired from Boeing in 1989. He and Mary Ann moved from Federal Way, WA, to Olympia, WA in 2005.
