Elsie Pearl (Hesse) EBERT 1918-2012

Pearl, as she was known, passed away December 9, 2012 at the age of 94. She was born March 10, 1918 in West Seattle and lived in the community her entire life.

Pearl was a longtime member of Fauntleroy Church where she sang in the choir, played in the bell choir and was one of the church mice. She and husband Ed were very active in the Fauntleroy YMCA, serving on the board and at Camp Colman where Pearl was known as the craft lady. She helped at Westside Baby Corner for many years. She spent her last years at Providence Mount Saint Vincent, first in assisted living and then in the nursing home section.

Predeceased by Ed Ebert, her husband of 63 years, and Kyle Hesse, her brother, Pearl is survived by her son, David Ebert (Terri) of Sequim, and her daughter, Glenda Mitchell (Bob) of Stanwood; grandchildren, Erika Sigmon, Rob Mitchell, Mike Ebert, Jasmin Howard and Tyler Ebert, and 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service with reception will be held at Fauntleroy Church, UCC, 9140 California Avenue SW, Seattle on January 5, 2013 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers you may make memorial contributions to Fauntleroy Church, Providence Mount Saint Vincent or Providence Hospice.
