Nancy Dealey 1928 - 2013

Friend and beloved Aunt, Nancy Dealey, passed away January 8, 2013. She left a legacy of love and service to her family, friends, church and community.

Nancy was born June 28, 1928 in Seattle, WA. She graduated with a nursing degree from the University of Washington. Nancy worked for hospitals and churches in California and Washington, retiring as a Psychiatric Nurse from Virginia Mason.

In retirement, Nancy actively supported environmental causes, especially “The People of Puget Sound” environmental group. Another big undertaking was helping to create the new library for her church, St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church. She enjoyed exploring her family history, writing, birding and gardening.

Nancy is survived by her nephew, Michael Dealey of Arlington, Texas, niece, Donna Dealey White of Federal Way, WA, great-nephews Ryan, Zachary, Daniel, Campbell and Michael, and great-niece Lauren Dealey.

Those who knew her loved her sense of humor, generosity and desire to serve God. She will be greatly missed.

Services will be held Saturday, February 2nd, 2pm at St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church, 3050 California Ave. SW, Seattle WA 98116. All are welcome to join us in celebrating Nancy’s life.
