Murder text hoax
A Burien woman received a text message asking where to hide a body. A Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldier is under investigation after police learned the message was allegedly a prank from the soldier.
The Burien woman asked not to be identified. Police said the woman recently received a text from an unknown number that asked "Where do I hide the body?" Her husband texted back: "You tell me" as a way to get to the bottom of the text. The sender replied, “This was your idea. I’m not taking heat for this (expletive). You wanted him gone and now he is. You said you had a place. Where the (expletive) are you?”
The woman and her husband called police, and a King County Sheriff's Office detective opened a homicide investigation. A search warrant was filed and the phone number lead police to the sender. A spokesman for JBLM said they are investigating the incident.

Monster-masked man robs bank
The US Bank at 1850 S 120th St, in Boulevard Park was robbed Wednesday, Feb. 13, at about 5 p.m. The suspect, a 24 year-old man, entered wearing camouflage and a black Halloween monster mask and robbed the bank, according to Sgt. Cindi West of the King County Sheriff’s Office.
No weapon was used, according to cashiers. The suspect handed a note to the cashier demanding money.
The suspect left on foot as Burien police, King County deputies, Seattle police and a Renton K9 officer arrived in the area.
The suspect was located a few blocks away and money was recovered. He was booked in King County Jail.
