Maxwell (Mick) Thomas HUNT 1929 - 2013

Born October 14, 1929 in Hoquiam, WA ~ passed away June 5, 2013 in Seattle, WA.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Beret (1975); parents, Maxwell and Rafie May Hunt; and two brothers, Walter and Roy.

Mick was the oldest of eight children. In his late teens Mick worked as a Merchant Marine traveling between Seattle and Alaska. In 1950 he started working for Isaacson Iron Works (Earl M. Jorgenson) until 1974. Mick served in the US Army from 1953-1955. In 1974 he started his “retirement business,” Mick’s Services. For 30 years he did light hauling and made many new, close friends.

Mick enjoyed: racing stock cars (early 50’s), hunting, fishing, cribbage, and interacting with friends. Fishing was a passion, from commercial salmon fishing in Neah Bay to high mountain lakes and streams. He could often be seen in Lake Hancock, trolling for hours. Hunting on Lopez Island was a tradition for over 50 years.

Mick is survived by his ex-wife, Trudy; three sons, Stephen (Lorrie), David, Melvin (Toni); nine grandchildren, Curtis (Tina), Michelle (Alan), Cory, Gary, Bary, Andrew, Eric, Ashley and Blake; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Barney and sisters, Viola, Mary, Bertha and Maxine.
