Ballard captured third place as a team in the Class 1A/2A/3A portion of this past weekend's state gymnastics action at Sammamish High School, scoring a total of 164.725 points.

Evergreen took 29th with 33.625 points with West Seattle 32nd at 31.700.

Mari Puckett of Ballard tied for 15th in the all-around with a 34.475 with teammate Aspen Pfeiffer 22nd at 34.150.

Evergreen's Angelina Zhukova was 26th at 33.625 with Ruby Stan of Ballard 37th at 31.900.

Also for Ballard, Carli Pecoraro placed 40th with 31.450 points and Alissa McBride took 44th with a 30.900.

Lola Saleeba came in 13th for Ballard in the bars with a 7.900 score just ahead of Puckett at 7.550.

Pfeiffer tied for 15th in the vault at 8.550.

Mount Rainier, meanwhile, took 20th in the Class 4A team competition with a 34.625 total.

Addison Frome of the Rams finished 77th in the all-around at 14.250.
