The West Seattle Chamber of Commerce has officially opened nominations for the 2026 Westside Awards, an annual tradition dedicated to honoring the businesses, nonprofits, and individuals who have shaped the local community over the last year.
Members of the public are encouraged to submit nominations across four specific categories:
- Westside Business of the Year: Recognizes established businesses (operating for 3 or more years) that demonstrate excellence in growth, customer service, and community involvement.
- Westside Emerging Business of the Year: Honors innovative new businesses (under 3 years) that are already gaining momentum and engaging with the community.
- Westside Not for Profit of the Year: Highlights a nonprofit organization whose dedication to social good has made a visible impact on West Seattle.
- Westsider of the Year: Celebrates an individual whose leadership, service, or volunteerism has strengthened the community.
“The Westside Awards exist to make sure that work gets the recognition it deserves,” said Rachel Porter, Executive Director of the West Seattle Chamber. She encouraged anyone who has witnessed such dedication to submit a nomination.
The nomination period closes on April 5, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.. Following the deadline, winners will be selected by the Chamber’s Board of Directors. The honorees will be celebrated during the Annual Westside Awards Breakfast on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at The Hall at Fauntleroy.
