A fire in a five bedroom home at 4400 Beach Drive SW  drew 24 units on Wednesday evening just after 5pm. The home, apparently undergoing a remodel, was billowing white smoke as firefighters got on the scene.

Scanner calls noted that the fire appeared to be in a wall and moving up to the attic. No one was hurt.

No announcement of the amount of damage was immediately available.

Worthy of note is that this home was once the home of West Seattle's Vicki Schmitz Block.
