A driver is in custody following a hit-and-run collision with a King County Metro bus early Monday morning that left four people injured.
The incident occurred shortly after 2:00 a.m. on July 20, 2026, near the intersection of Ambaum Boulevard SW and SW 126th Street. According to authorities, the Metro bus was traveling northbound on Ambaum Blvd when a passenger car entered the intersection and struck the vehicle.
Immediately following the impact, the driver of the car abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. King County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a search of the surrounding area and successfully located and arrested the suspect a short time later.
Medical responders transported four individuals to Harborview Medical Center for treatment, including the bus driver and three passengers. While the victims are receiving care, law enforcement has not yet released specific updates regarding the severity of their injuries.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
