On the morning of October 28, 2014, our beloved Charles's suffering came to an end. Charles was born December 27, 1927 in Elgin, IL. Towards the end of WWII, he did a tour in the Army.

In the early 1970s, he moved to West Seattle, WA. There, with his wife Karen, he helped raise his two children, Michael and Vanessa.

In his life's journey, Charles made many friends, and everywhere he went ran into people who knew him. He loved Jazz music and could call many Jazz greats his friends.

His grandchildren were the apple of his eye and he would do anything for them.

We will miss his wide smile, sparkling eyes and the generosity he showed to all.

Predeceased by his son, Michael, Charles leaves behind his daughter, Vanessa, and grandchildren, Eva and James.
Services will be held Thursday, November 6, 2014, 1 p.m., at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA. Remembrances to the American Diabetes Association.
