Couple argues over wife’s gambling problem
1. Federal Way police arrived at the scene of a domestic dispute that became heated. The incident took place at a residence on the 31300 block of 13th Avenue South. According to the report, Andres and Wendy Pantoja are in a relationship, and the two began to argue around 2:30 a.m. on the morning of September 1. The argument became heated, but did not turn physical, the couple told police. The report states that the Pantojas were arguing because of Wendy’s gambling problem. Both parties stated nothing physical occurred and neither showed any signs of injury nor did they complain of any pain or injury. There is no additional information listed in the report.
Vandals light fireworks on windshield, causing damage
2. Federal Way police followed up on a 911 call indicating some malicious mischief had taken place at a home in the city limits. According to the report, victim Steven Adams contacted Federal Way police around 3:30 a.m. on the morning of September 1 after he awoke to a loud bang outside his home. Adams lives on the 800 block of South 309th Street. Adams told police he assumed the bang was a gunshot. He went outside to investigate later that morning and discovered that someone had lit a firework on the hood of his truck. The explosion caused the windshield to crack, Adams said. Adams had the windshield repair to his black 1997 Ford estimated, and he believes the repair will cost between $200 and $300. There is no suspect information in the report, and officers have closed the case pending new leads.
Welfare check leads to drug arrest
3. Federal Way officers executed a requested welfare check on a citizen. The person in question discovered in their vehicle parked at 115 Mirror Lake Park. The officers arrived on the scene around 8 a.m. on the morning of September 1. There, the officers discovered Aigalele Pua slumped over the steering wheel of his car. The car is a blue 1988 Toyota. Federal Way officers made contact with Pua. During the interview, they discovered that Pua had drug paraphernalia in his possession.
Four-year-old tells parents he’s being fondled at day care
4. Federal Way police interviewed the parents of a four-year-old boy regarding the disclosure of some alleged inappropriate fondling at the Creative Minds Day Care in Federal Way. The day care is located at 28124 26th Avenue South. There is no additional information listed the report.
Meth addict caught shoplifting at Target
5. Federal Way police contacted Target loss prevention personnel regarding a shoplifting incident that took place around 2:20 p.m. on September 1. According to the report, Kurt P. Johnson entered the Target store and selected and concealed merchandise valued at $39.49. Johnson then passed all opened registers and exited the store without paying. Due to Target policy, Johnson was not prosecuted for the theft. However, when Federal Way police interviewed him, they discovered that Johnson had a confirmed Department of Corrections escape warrant. When they arrested him, Federal Way officers discovered that Johnson was in possession of drug paraphernalia, which the police determined was a meth pipe. Man threatens to kill
6. Federal Way police made contact with a woman who claimed that a man, Keith T. Lowe had threatened to kill her. The victim lives on the 32600 block of 49th Court South, and the threatening call came in around 11 a.m. on the morning of September 1. The woman told police that she fled the house and is living in fear that Lowe will make good on his threat. Federal Way police are actively seeking Lowe in connection with the crime and have probable cause to arrest. There is no additional information listed in the report.
