A suspect in the alleged assault and robbery of a woman in West Seattle was arrrested by Seattle Police on Monday early evening.

The facts around this incident were not immediately clear since they were based on early reports. Here is the update from the Seattle Police Department.
Officers arrested a 20-year-old man Monday evening after he stabbed one person and robbed another in West Seattle.
At 5:50 p.m., police responded to a reported stabbing in the 2700 block of California Avenue Southwest. Officers found a 47-year-old man with a stab wound to the arm and provided aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.
The suspect grabbed a second victim’s arm and stole her phone. He then threatened a third victim with a knife. Neither of those victims were injured.
Several witnesses told officers they saw the suspect fleeing with a knife and a skateboard under his arm.
Police quickly contained the area, and a K9 unit assisted in the search. Officers found the suspect near 51st Avenue and Southwest Pritchard Street. After taking the man into custody, officers had the Seattle Fire Department evaluate him at the scene. He was not injured.
Detectives from the Homicide and Assault Unit are leading the investigation.
Police booked the suspect into King County Jail for investigation of assault and robbery.

A woman was attacked with what police described on radio traffic as a "large kitchen knife" and her phone was stolen early on Monday evening around 6:15pm. The attack prompted calls to the police who arrived and gave chase to a male, in his 20's who evaded capture until he was finally cornered near 51st SW and SW Pritchard Street.
The stabbing victim was not injured badly but details are not clear. We will update the story as more information becomes available.
