Ballard journeys to Parker-Faller Field in Yakima to play No. 1 seeded Mount Vernon in a 1 p.m. Friday Class 3A state semifinal on the heels of a 10 a.m. battle between Gig Harbor and Kennewick.

The winners play for the championship at 4 p.m. Saturday and the losers play for third place at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Seattle hosts the Minnesota Twins for action at T-Mobile Park at 7:05 p.m. Friday,  4:15 p.m. Saturday and 1:10 p.m. Sunday.
